The multidisciplinary team of professionals at Rudansky & Winter develops a therapy and treatment program tailored to each patient’s individual condition. Nutrition, exercise and lifestyle changes are part of the Rudansky & Winter comprehensive program of memory health and wellness. Our unique Cognitive Therapy program is an integral part of the treatment plan.
Our Unique Cognitive Therapy Program
Our comprehensive, scientifically based Cognitive Therapy program helps adults at any age achieve optimal memory and brain cognition. New medical and scientific research now shows that adults can actually enhance their memory and brain function as they age. Our Cognitive Therapy program helps patients:
- Retrain their ability to focus and concentrate – improving attention, concentration and retention of information.
- Regain mental clarity and emotional stability – improving organizational skills and problem solving.
- Stop age related memory loss for the “50s” crowd who want to maintain a competitive edge – improving performance at work.
- Slow down the progression of Alzheimer’s by strengthening the brain’s memory circuits and learning comprehension skills – improving social skills and daily pleasures of life.
How the Cognitive Treatment Program works:
- An initial comprehensive neurobehavioral evaluation is performed by Dr. Rudansky or Dr. Winter to diagnose the cause and type of memory problem.
- Psychometric and Cognitive in depth testing may be recommended.
- A personalized treatment plan is developed specifically for you.
- Our Cognitive Therapy program begins with 6 one-hour private “brain workout” sessions conducted in our beautifully appointed offices supervised by trained staff.
- Participants may be given homework assignments that enhance the lab work and allow for the application of newly learned skills in daily life.
- Sessions include specific techniques to revitalize “memory muscle” and allow patients to live a more active, independent life.
- Upon completion of the initial six week program, a progress consultation is performed by either Dr. Rudansky or Dr. Winter. Additional services may be prescribed.
